Technical Advisors Role :
MEP and Fire Safety design

Project Description:
TA’s services were retained by AT&T to study the existing MEP and fire safety conditions and develop a detailed report for a training center campus which has several offices, classrooms, laboratories, auditorium, living quarters and a fully functional kitchen with a cafeteria.

There were no as-built drawings available, therefore systems had to be evaluated based on our experience and knowledge and a thorough field investigation.

Various options were presented to AT&T along with associated budgets. The design team in conjunction with AT&T developed construction documents to replace the fire alarm system, modify and upgrade the mechanical and electrical systems and upgrade the plumbing system for the living quarters.

Energy reduction was a priority and was incorporated into the design documents.  Energy efficient pumps, boilers, light fixtures, occupancy sensors and motors were specified.  The Building Automation System (BAS) was also upgraded.  New electrical panels and circuits were provided at various locations.

This project was performed in several phases over a period of time to conform within the budget restrictions.
